Fuel delivery in Franklin, WI

Ran out of gas? You get enough fuel to reach the nearest station and fill up.

Franklin Towing & Roadside is a referral service. Your call is connected to an independent local towing provider.

How it works

A few gallons of gasoline are brought to your car and poured in. You pay for the fuel plus the service call. Once the car starts, drive straight to a gas station.

If the car doesn’t start right away

After running completely dry, some cars need a few tries to pull fuel back through the lines. Turn the key to on for a few seconds before cranking, then try again. If it still won’t start, something else may be wrong and a tow may be needed.

Diesel and electric vehicles

Tell the dispatcher if your vehicle runs on diesel, because not every provider carries it. Putting gasoline in a diesel engine can cause serious damage.

An electric car that has run out of charge can’t be refueled on the spot. It needs a flatbed tow to the nearest charger or to your home. Most EV makers say not to tow them with the drive wheels on the ground.

Common questions

How much fuel do I get?

Enough to get to a gas station, usually a few gallons. Ask when you call if you need more.

Is running out of gas bad for the car?

Doing it once is usually fine. Doing it often can wear out the fuel pump in some cars, because the fuel helps keep the pump cool.
